WATER TREATMENT PLANTS

1. The Old Gumma WTP was installed in 1921-22. It treats water through a single stage sand filtration process. The water is pumped from old pump house directly to Craignano. From Craignano, the water is supplied to the Sanjauli Tank.
2. The New Gumma WTP was installed in 1981-82; it has a two stage treatment process, with flocculation and sand filtrations.. The first stage pumping from each source is to the Drabla pumping station. The second stage pumping is from Drabla pumping station to Craignano reservoir. From Craignano, the water is supplied to the Sanjauli Tank.
3. The Nauti Khad WTP was constructed in 2006-07. It has clarifloculator and sand filtration. Water from Nautikhad is pumped to Mashobra and from Mashobra to Sanjauli.
4. The Giri WTP was installed in 2007 . the capacity of this WTP is 20MLD , The treatment plant has following components a settling tank , 2 nos of clarifloculators ,rapid sand filters and sump.
