Sewerage System In Shimla

Shimla Sewerage Project was implemented with the assistance of OPEC which envisaged construction of six Nos. Sewerage Treatment plants of total 35.63MLD capacity and laying of Sewerage Network System of 179KM. The estimated cost of the Project was Rs. 54.80 Crores which was to be shared with OPEC-LOAN 73% (10 Million Dollars) and State share 27% (Rs.14.80 Crores). Accordingly, the Govt. of HP accorded administrative approval and expenditure sanction for Rs.47.76crore in February 1999 for C/O Six Nos. sewerage Treatment Plants & 179Kms. Sewerage Network and which has been laid for ultimate Population of 545722 Persons. The completion cost of the Project is Rs. 76.00 crores. All the following six Sewerage Treatment have been completed and commissioned during October 2005. The detail of each STP is as under.

Sewerage Treatment Plant Lal Pani

The construction of STP Lal Pani based on UASB ( Upflow Anerobic Sludge Blankets System was started in the year 2000 and work was completed in the year 2005. The STP commissioned in Oct. 2005. The total capacity of the plant is 19.35 MLD in the year 2016 . The completion cost of the plant is Rs. 38.52 Crores including Net work.

Sewerage Treatment Plant Summer Hill

The construction of STP Summer Hill based on extended aeration tank system was started in the year 2000 and work was completed in the year 2005. The STP commissioned in Oct. 2005. The total capacity of the plant is 3.93 MLD in the year 2016 . The completion cost of the plant is Rs. 5.23 Crores including cost of Network.

Sewerage Treatment Plant Snowdon

The construction of STP Snowdon based on extended aeration tank system was started in the year 2000 and work was completed in the year 2005. The STP commissioned in Oct. 2005. The total capacity of the plant is 1.35 MLD in the year 2016 . The completion cost of the plant is Rs. 3.24 Crores including cost of Net work.

Sewerage Treatment Plant North Disposal

The construction of STP North Disposal based on extended aeration tank system was started in the year 2000 and work was completed in the year 2005. The STP commissioned in Oct. 2005. The total capacity of the plant is 5.80 MLD in the year 2016 . The completion cost of the plant is Rs. 14.56 Crores including Net work.

Sewerage Treatment Plant Sanjauli Malyana

The construction of STP Sanjauli Malayana based on extended aeration tank system was started in the year 2000 and work was completed in the year 2005. The STP commissioned in Oct. 2005. The total capacity of the plant is 4.44 MLD in the year 2016 . The completion cost of the plant is Rs. 11.28 Crores including cost of Net work.

Sewerage Treatment Plant Dhalli

The construction of STP Dhalli based on extended aeration tank system was started in the year 2000 and work was completed in the year 2005. The STP commissioned in Oct. 2005. The total capacity of the plant is 0.76 MLD in the year 2016 . The completion cost of the plant is Rs. 3.10 Crores including cost of Net work.
